Gulf Coast Filters offers a full range of filters and filter elements that can be customized depending on the particular needs of the industry and client. Some of our many filters and filter elements including the following:

Coalescing Filters– Coalescing filters are used to filter air and gas streams as well as to separate different density immiscible liquids such as jet fuel, diesel fuel, lube oil, and more. Some specialty service categories include emulsions, aromatics, surfactants, and caustics.

Separator Cartridges– Separator cartridges provide a hydrophobic barrier to the discontinuous phase of the filtration process. They also provide a filtration barrier to help enhance efficient filtration performance. They commonly come in materials such as pleated paper, pleated synthetics, synthetic mesh, and teflon-coated screens.

Pleated Media– Pleated media make such highly effective industrial filter elements because the pleating of the media helps increase the amount of surface area available for filtration. This in turn also increases the dirt-holding capacity of the pleated media. Pleated media can easily be customized for variables such as flow rates, temperature levels, chemical properties, and particulate size.

String Wound Filters– String wound filters derive their name because they use string-like fibers wound around a core as their filtration media. They are highly efficient, highly customizable, economical, and available with a rapid turnaround time. They are commonly used to filter everything from water and potable liquids to oils, acids, and more.

Dust Collector Filters– Dust collector filters are used for the effective filtration and capturing of industrial dusts and other small particulates. Typically dust collector filters are used in dry flow streams; however, when necessary they can also be customized to function with a small amount of liquid present in the flow. They may utilize continuous cleaning cartridges or bag house units. They are also available in many different media types.

Liquid Filter Bags– Liquid filter bags provide effective, consistent filtration of contaminants that are present in fluid streams. Bags standardly come in sizes # 2, #1, and #4, but may also be custom made for particular situations. They are available in polyester, nylon, polypropylene, and Nomex©.

Inline Air and Gas– Air and gas intake filters are used to remove impurities such as dust, dirt, pipe scale, and other contaminants present in compressed air or gas streams in pipelines. They are typically treated to resist corrosion and rust and can also be designed to operate well under demanding circumstances such as significant pressure drops or a requirement for considerable dirt-holding capacity.

Sintered Metal Filters– Sintered metal filters have undergone the sintering process which bonds powdered metal particles as sub-melting temperatures, creating a porous fully-connected metal structure with a number of useful benefits. Such benefits include high pressure and temperature capacity, high strength, good ductility, and resistance to corrosion.

Industrial Air Filters– Industrial air filters are used to enhance air purity and quality in industrial and other settings. Industrial air filters include a range of products such as HEPA filters, metal panels, pleated panels, disposable panels, extended surface filters, and more.

Industrial Water Filters– Industrial water filters help provide clean, potable water that can be used for drinking or as an additive in foods and beverages. Industrial water filters also filter water so that it can then safely be used for industrial processes or with household appliances without fear of damaging the equipment. Industrial water filters are capable of removing suspended particles and inorganic contaminants as well as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other parasites.

Hydraulic Elements– Hydraulic elements are commonly found in many industrial applications and processes and often feature very sensitive circuitry and components. Thorough filtration to avoid abrasion, corrosion, and general wear and tear on the equipment is a must.

Wire Cloth Filters– Wire cloth filters are valued in demanding industrial settings because they are highly durable and can be cleaned to restore function and extend service life. They are great for situations involving viscosity stress, high pressure differentials, high temperature, and more. They are also available in several different broad types and different materials, ensuring that there is a great wire cloth filter for any given application.

Mist Eliminators– As their name implies, mist eliminators are used to remove entrained liquids (mists) from a gas or air stream. This is crucial since in some cases the mist may damage downstream equipment, pollute the environment, reduce throughput, or otherwise cause problems. Mist eliminators come in several different types such as knitted mesh pads, vane assemblies, rolled-fiber candles, and cyclones.

Activated Carbon Filters– Activated carbon filters use activated carbon as the filtration medium. This is highly effective for a range of industrial applications including metal extraction, sewage treatment, water purification, chemical purification, gas purification, and more. Activated carbon itself is sourced from materials such as peat, coal, wood, nutshells, and others and can be processed into powders, pellets, or granular form.

Filter Press Cloths– Filter press cloths use cloth in between filter press plates in order to remove particulates and contaminants. The cloth itself may be made of cotton, polyester, nylon, polypropylene, or other materials, and the filter press cloths can be customized for different press plates and micron ratings.
